Evan's 3rd Birthday Party (Part 2)

After the kiddos cooked up a storm at the YCA. We headed back to our house for an "adult" lunch and cake and ice cream.
Evan, of course wanted cookie cake with Curious George on it. I'll admit that mommy had a hard time finding that! Look closely and you can see him on the right side of the cake :)
After cake and ice cream, Evan opened gifts, which of course he got everything he wanted....more CARS!

Evan's 3rd Birthday Party (Part 1)

On Saturday March 5th at 1PM, we had the first part of Evan's Birthday Party.
It was held at the Young Chef's Academy.
With instruction from Amy and Aunt Lindsay, the kiddos made their own pizza dough, personalized their own pizza and even decorated a cupcake too!
Evan posing with the "Happy Birthday Evan" sign.
Mommy helping to wash hands before cooking.
Daddy modeling the "kids" aprons....how cute!
Evan pouring in the olive oil for the pizza dough.
 Doing his favorite....mixing!
Using a mixer that mommy someday hopes that she will have :)
 Rolling the dough...
 Spreading the sauce with Daddy...
No pizza of Evan's would be complete without pepperoni!
 Ready for the oven...
Not wanting a picture with mommy....boo!
 Cupcake decorating time...

 The cooked pizza...
 Yummy!

Talk About Getting Old...

It is so hard for me to believe that on Saturday Evan will be 3 years old!
It seems like it was just yesterday that this little baby was just laying in his crib staring back at me...
now I can't get him to sit still :)

Pushing 30

As some of you may know....yesterday was my 29th birthday. YUCK.....29! Where did the last 12 years of my life go? I feel like I was 17 yesterday.
I can remember when I turned 18, I said to myself, "Only 22 more years until I am 40". At the time, it seemed like it would take forever. Now what seemed to be the blink of an eye...I'm married, have a house, 2 kids and mini van...HOLY COW!.... "Only 11 more years until I am 40"

I started my day yesterday being able to sleep until 8am.....yes both kiddos slept until then!
Then I headed to a local salon to get a haircut, manicure and massage pedicure.
After spending 2 of my last 3 birthdays in the hospital, this was all much deserved!
Then I came back home, changed and went to dinner.

Below are a few pictures of Dave and I with the boys before we headed out to dinner.

Stay tuned for my "30 things before I'm 30 list" too!

A Piece of Cake

Last Friday (9/3) I decided to have a playdate at my house for my "Mommies Gone Wild" playgroup. I'll admit...I am a dork and I LOVE to have themed playdates! It was 2 days before Evan's half birthday...so I thought..."Half Birthday Party Playdate!"
I figured I'd make a big cake for the mommies and kiddos, have Happy Birthday plates, etc. Even write "Happy Half Birthday Evan" on the cake...I was excited and thinking that I am quite a "Cool Mommy" for doing this!
I decided to make the cake in the morning, so it would be nice and fresh! I baked it right after breakfast and as soon as it was done, I set it on the counter to cool.
Dave was outside mowing the lawn (he had off from work) and I figured I'd take a quick shower and get dressed. Connor was napping and Evan was watching Curious George. So, I jumped in the shower fast and then checked on the boys as soon as I got out...everyone was still in the same spot.
I then started to brush my teeth and noticed Evan was running up and down the hallway all excited. I didn't think much of it at the time because he usually does this when he sees Dave outside mowing the grass.
So, I started to do my hair and noticed Evan has crumbs on his face as he was running by.
So I start to ask Evan what he is eating and he runs to the kitchen. I run after him and watch in horror as he shoves handfuls of cake into his mouth!
I send Evan to his room and I call Dave into the house.
I'll be completely honest...I was mad...but Dave and I laughed our heads off!!!!
Not in front of Evan of course :)

The cake was totally ruined and I had to serve popsicles instead.
There will be no half birthday celebration next year.

Check out the pictures below, but you really had to see it in person!

Notice the chair pushed right up to the counter?

A Birthday Party

Today we went to Uncle Dan and Aunt Denise's house to help celebrate Adri and Abby's birthday.
It turned out to be a pretty nice day with the weather, so it was nice to be outside to play and enjoy the fresh air.
Evan had fun playing in the "Barbie" Power Wheels, Cozy Coupe and sandbox with his cousins.

Here is Angie and Evan driving around the yard.
Notice Evan on the phone?

This is Evan and the girls eating cake and ice cream.

Where was Connor during all the festivities?

In the arms of Aunt Michelle.
Aunt Michelle and Uncle Roman came to visit for a few days and Aunt Michelle was able to join us at the birthday party.

Where have we been?.......BUSY!!!

Sorry for my lack of posting in the last week. We have been really busy lately.
Let's see...I'll start "recaping" from last Thursday.

Thursday, Evan and I made cupcakes for Daddy to bring into work. Evan is really into helping me bake lately, so I have been baking more than usual. Dave and Evan are loving all the sweets, but my waistline isn't!

Here are pictures of Evan mixing the batter.

He needs to sample everything he makes too :)

Friday was National Donut Day and what better way to celebrate...Dunkin Donuts and Friends!
We got together with our "Mommies Gone Wild" friends and a few dozen donuts and had some fun in the backyard.

In the picture above, I broke out some playdough that Evan had got for his birthday.
Evan looks like a  "Vegas Dealer" passing out the "dough" to his friends.

"Changing Playdough" :)

Friday night, we went out to dinner for the first time as a family of 4.
Everything went really well!
Evan behaved himself and stayed busy with all the crayons and activites that I brought with us. As for Connor, he slept the entire time, but decided to wake up as soon as I got my dinner...figures, right?

Saturday morning, we had  A TON of errands to run and then had a birthday party to go to in the late afternoon.

(I forgot to take pictures on this day)

Bouncing It Out!

Today we went to Bounce-It-Out in Pittsford!
We haven't been there in 4 months or so and the last time we were there Evan wasn't liking it too much. Well to our surprise he LOVED it there today! He went in the bounce houses all by himself and did the slides too.
I'm so glad he likes it there now...I just booked his Birthday Party there for next month!!
