Double Digits!

Connor is 10 Months Old!!!

Connor has changed so much this past month. He is no longer taking a morning bottle...he wants a "real" breakfast now. He is eating 3 meals a day, a few snacks and has 4 bottles. He is loving Cheerios and yogurt right now. We are working on drinking out of a sippy cup and he almost has it.

Connor is standing and cruising the furniture. He can also walk with the push walker all by himself.

He loves to pull himself up to Evan's train table and see what his big brother is doing. And where ever Evan is in the house, Connor wants to be...so cute!

Connor is quickly growing out of size 12 month clothing and staring to get into 18 months. He is still wearing a size 3 diaper.

Last week, Connor also got his first "real" pair of shoes. He is wearing a size 4 wide. 

I am happy to finally say that Connor is sleeping through the night more too.

Only 2 months until his first birthday...let the party planning begin :)

Connor's First Haircut

On Thursday, we finally took Connor for his "much needed" first haircut.

 He started out quite content as he watched Elmo on the TV.

 What a cutie!!

 Then he got a little fussy...

 But he did a great job and made it through it!

Connor is 9 Months....the Update!

Connor's 9 Month appointment was on Tuesday afternoon.

Connor weighs 20 pounds 12 ounces and is 28 and 3/4 inches tall.

He was very active at the appointment and wanted to get down off my lap and crawl so bad.

He also didn't like it when the doctor took him away from mommy.

Connor received one shot, he cried for a second and then was happy again.

He doesn't go back to the doctor again until a few days after his 1st Birthday...I can' believe he's going to be one soon!!!

I also have to mention that Connor is pulling himself up on the furniture/toys and standing now. 

If I had to bet money...I would guess that Connor will be walking by Valentine's Day!

Connor is 9 Months Old!

Only 3 months until Connor's First Birthday!

Connor's 9 month doctor's appointment isn't until Jan. 11, so I won't have his current stats until then.

Connor at 9 months...

He is into everything and wanting to do whatever "Big Brother" Evan can do. He is beginning to notice wires, plugs, laptops and other technology around the house.

Connor is starting to try to pull up on the furniture too. I'm guessing he will be walking by his 1st birthday, just like Evan did.

Connor is starting to eat some table food. He has tried bananas, mashed and sweet potatoes. He is also really starting to like the Gerber snack type food. He is eating oatmeal instead of rice cereal now.

He is drinking apple, pear and white grape juice, but apple is his favorite.

Connor is sleeping a little better the last few weeks, but naps are sometimes still a problem...I think he's afraid he's going to miss something while he's sleeping. :)

He loves to crawl on the floor and try to follow Evan around the house.. as you can see in the picture.

This is his favorite thing to do...where ever Evan is, Connor wants to be.

Connor is still wearing size 12 months clothing. He is also needing to get that "official first haircut" really soon.

Connor currently has 2 bottom teeth with more on the way any time now.

2, 4, 6, 8!!!!!

Connor is 8 months old!!!!

Connor has been crawling since the beginning of the month and he can also sit up now. He prefers being on his tummy to anything though. Just like his big brother Evan, Connor doesn't like to sit still.

He is the happiest little guy...he's always smiling (just like Mommy) at something. He is also starting to notice and take a liking to wires, cords and laptops...just like Daddy!

He loves to eat and his favorites are turkey, squash, sweet potatoes, bananas, apples and pears.

He has started drinking juice too. He doesn't like puffs at all.

Just this past week, he started getting in his 2 bottom teeth...I'm going to miss that "gummy smile"!

Connor still doesn't like to sleep :( I am lucky to get one nap out of him during the day and he usually wakes up once during the night.

His favorite toys are usually what ever Evan is playing with...cars, trucks and trains.

Connor's First Haircut...Well Sort Of

I am very thankful for the fact that I was blessed with 2 very handsome, healthy boys.

However, they both seem to have ended up having "CRAZY" hair!!

Both Evan and Connor have hair that is always all over the place.

With our "first family of 4" family Christmas pictures this weekend...I needed to get the boys' hair tamed.

On Sunday, we took Evan to get his haircut. This time I had Dave join us to get the "full experience" :)

Evan actually did a little better then the last time, but was defiantly an "eye-opener" for Dave.

Evan started to cry and say "ouch" before the hairdresser was even near him. But the funniest part of it, is after we came home...for the rest of the day Evan kept asking Dave and I to put more baby powder on the back of his neck...just like the hairdresser did.

Last night, I decided that we had to do something with the sides of Connor's hair! His hair is really short in the back, but really long on the top and sides. His side pieces were getting so long that I was actually tucking them behind his ears!

So....I decided to just trim the sides myself and not take him to an actual "hair place" until he's a little older.

Dave and I ended up taking turns cutting it and of course, Big Brother Evan had to get involved too.

Car Seat Switch

On Thursday night we did something that I have been SOOOOOOO dreading!

We finally put Connor in a new car seat...no more infant carrier :(

It's bittersweet...I'm happy that Connor is growing and getting bigger, but he's not a little baby anymore.

So, for our first car ride in the new car seat, we went to Target.
Of course it was a cold Rochester evening, so we had to bundle up...

No more infant carrier also switched things up a bit with our normal shopping cart arrangement.
Connor now has to sit in the cart seat, but he was LOVING it!

Connor's First Halloween!

Connor is 7 Months Old!

Like I've been saying every month...Holy Cow! Where the heck does the time go?!?!?

Connor is 7 Months old!!!

I don't have too much to add this time because I was late doing his 6 month update a few weeks ago.

Connor is such a smiley baby! He smiles at everyone and everything...gee I wonder who he gets that from??? :)

Connor is really liking his food! He loves bananas, apples, pears, carrots, squash and sweet potatoes. He doesn't like peas or green beans (breaks my heart-my fave!). He loves sitting in his highchair and loves to play with his spoon after he eats.

He doesn't like to nap...I think he's afraid that he's going to miss out on something...lol! He sleeps through the night fine, but during the day is sometimes a chore to get him to nap. 

Connor is wearing size 12 month clothing and wears a size 3-4 in shoes.

He loves to roll around on the floor and  is way more interested in Evan's toys then his own.

He's Got More Underwear Than Me!

No, I'm not talking about Dave...I talking about Evan!!!

Evan is potty trained!

It's been about 3 weeks now and he's still doing great! Dave and I are so proud of him and Evan seems to be pretty proud of himself too. He loves to wear his "favorite" pairs of underwear....yes he has his favorites already...anything with cars or trucks and of course Thomas.

He's been staying completely dry during his naps and getting out of the house. He also does great during playdates at other people's houses too. 

Yay...for only having to buy diapers for one kiddo!!!!

Connor is 6 Months Old (The Update)

Last Monday was Connor's 6 Month Doctor's appt.

 I promised an update on his stats, so here they are.

Connor is 17 pounds 12 ounces and is a little over 26 inches long.

At this appt, both Connor and Evan also got their flu shots....I don't know which kiddo was more "fun" to hold for the shot, a 2 year old or 6 month old...can you guess?

Connor will most likely me sitting up any day now...I can't wait for that!

He has been a little "crabby" lately, so we are thinking that teeth are on their way.

Let the fun begin!

He goes back to the doctor's in January for his 9 month appt....

it's crazy to think that he will most likely be crawling by then!



Connor is 6 Months Old!

Today is so hard to believe! My baby is 6 months old!!!

Even though, it seems hard to believe he's already 6 months, it feels like he has always been with us.

Connor's 6 month appt isn't until Oct 11th, so I won't have any stats until then. I can tell you though..he's much heavier and taller too. His dark hair is falling out, so it looks like we have another blondie..BUMMER! I was really hoping that his dark hair would stay.

He started solid food a few weeks ago. He has tired rice cereal, carrots and peas.

He loves carrots...not so much for the peas. We will try those again soon. I figured to celebrate his milestone today, we would do bananas. They were Evan's favorite!

He is still doing 5 ounces of formula about every 4 hours. Unfortunately, last week because of the recall we had to switch to another brand...not fun at all!

He is still sleeping through the night. Once in a blue moon he will get up though. He's now going down around 9PM and wakes about 630AM.

Connor is still not a good napper, but getting a little better at car rides.

He loves rolling on the floor, bouncing in his jumproo and getting lotion put on him.

He can't sit up by himself yet, but my guess...another 2 weeks and he'll have it.

Connor's Carrot Craze

Last night at dinner, Connor had his first veggie...Carrots!

He loves them!

He was not very happy when they were all gone...



We are going to do carrots for the rest of the week and then move on to PEAS...yeah!

Connor's First Feeding

On Friday, September 3rd, Connor had his first feeding.
During the past few weeks, whenever Dave or I would eat something Connor would stare at us. Sometimes he would even cry because we weren't giving any to him! So, I figured it was time to break out the rice cereal and give Connor a somewhat "taste" of what he's been missing.

He did great with it and couldn't get enough!!

I have a feeling that he is going to end up being a "good eater"...he loved it A LOT!

The whole time he kept trying to get the spoon out of my hand and feed himself.

Connor is 5 Months Old!

Today Connor is 5 month old!!!!!

Connor is really such a good baby...we can't complain at all!

He is rolling over like crazy now and loves to be on his tummy!

He likes to hold rattles and of course put them right into his month.

Lately, every time we try to put him on his back, he tries to pull himself up and can't, so he gets frustrated.

Connor is wearing size 9 month clothing. He is drinking between 5-5.5 oz of formula every 4-4.5 hours. In the next 2 weeks or so we will be starting rice cereal. I can't believe he's going to start solids soon!

Connor also continues to sleep through the night. He is in his crib before 9PM and wakes up between 630AM-7AM. Most of the time Evan is up before him!

He still loves his swing, floor mat and bouncy chair. BUT is still not a fan of naps and car rides.

Monday's Doctor Appt.

On Monday we had Connor's 4 month appt.

He is now weighs 16 pounds and is 25.5 inches long.

(He is fitting perfectly into 9 month clothing)

Doctor says "he's perfect!" (I'm quoting her)

He had to get 2 shots too :( I took the picture above after the 2nd shot...needless to say he was not a "happy camper"!

He goes back again for his 6 month appt the beginning of October. It's hard to believe that by that time he'll be eatting baby food!

He's growing up TOO FAST :(

Yesterday we had Connor's "4 month" pictures taken.

Let's just say...I couldn't decide which ones to get!

He works hard for the money...

On Friday after Daddy came home from work, Connor and I went to the bank to FINALLY open his savings account.

I thought that it would be cute to have him there while did it. I actually did the same thing with Evan too!

I guess you could say it's a tradition.

So...Connor is now on the books and hopefully on the right track to saving his money...maybe for his first car, maybe college or maybe money for taking out all the ladies...YIKES...

I don't even want to think about that yet!
