Evan's 3rd Birthday Party (Part 1)

On Saturday March 5th at 1PM, we had the first part of Evan's Birthday Party.
It was held at the Young Chef's Academy.
With instruction from Amy and Aunt Lindsay, the kiddos made their own pizza dough, personalized their own pizza and even decorated a cupcake too!

Mommy helping to wash hands before cooking.
Daddy modeling the "kids" aprons....how cute!
Evan pouring in the olive oil for the pizza dough.
 Doing his favorite....mixing!
Using a mixer that mommy someday hopes that she will have :)
 Rolling the dough...
 Spreading the sauce with Daddy...
No pizza of Evan's would be complete without pepperoni!
 Ready for the oven...
Not wanting a picture with mommy....boo!

 Yummy!

Snow, Swans and Seagulls...OH MY!

On a slightly warmer Rochester day last week, Daddy and Evan decided to stop and feed the local birdies.
Connor and I watched from the nice toasty warm car.

Connor's First Trip to Strong Museum

On Saturday, we joined Aunt Denise, Uncle Dan and the girls at the Museum of Play.
Evan loved every minute of it...Connor will enjoy it more when he can walk....which will be very soon!

Connor had a turn too!

Evan learning to rock climb.

I tried to get a picture of all the kiddos together...
 and tried...
 and tired....no luck!

Connor taking a nap...too much excitement I guess.

Evan and Daddy's Snowman

A few weekends ago the temperature here in Rochester reached about 54!
So, Daddy and Evan ventured out into the backyard and built their first snowman together.
While that was going on, I was in the house scrambling to find things to put the finishing touches on him.
We used bottle caps for the eyes, a wine cork for the nose, Daddy's hat, a table runner for a scarf and cookies for buttons. I have to mention that there were 3 buttons (cookies), but when I went to get my camera there were only 2 left.
Now either Frosty came to life or somebody else got hungry.

Seeing Santa...

Monday afternoon we took the boys to the mall to see Santa Claus.
I have been super excited about this for weeks now...in hopes that Evan will actually sit on Santa's lap this year.
I kept asking him the last few days, "Who are we going to be seeing soon?" and "What are you going to ask Santa for?" He'd always answer me, "SANTA!" and "CARS AND COOKIES!" and act all excited. So I had really high hopes...
Well, let's just say that Connor had no problem sitting on Santa's lap!
So cute....but boy we gotta do something with that hair!!
Evan on the other hand....wouldn't even go near the jolly old elf....BUMMER!
Oh well...we will try again next year.
